Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2
I like more of his work than I dislike. I like Preacher, Punisher, and Hitman. Didn't like the Boys that much.

Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2
I can't remember if you said you read it (but I recall you mentioning it...), but have you read the Alien adaptation that Simonson drew?

Yeah, it's great. I'm not really a fan of comics that are directly lifted from movies but Simonson's art is fantastic.

Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2
Can anyone recommend me a good Batman series or graphic novel to get into?
Also, thoughts on "What Ever Happened to the Caped Crusader?"? It looks interesting.

Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2
I wish Greg Capullo had drawn the main story of The Black Mirror because I'd say that. The Killing Joke I guess. Court of Owls is the Batman reboot and it's ok, but Greg Capullo does some outfreakingstanding art in it.

I'm the one that isn't crazy about Ennis. You can do far worse than him though.

Long Halloween is great for beginners. Dark Knight Returns is gritty and kewl. batman year one is THE classic.
Whatever happened to the caped crusader is basically a tribute to Batman the character. Its his 'funeral' or something. Personally i enjoyed it
Here are my choices in order or how much Id reccomend them to a newbie
Batman Year one
Batman Black Mirror
The Long Halloween
Dark Knight Returns
Anything in particular you enjoy or look forward to inn Batman?

There's a list of recommended Batman stories on the first page. If you read all of them or all of them that interest you, then try Synder's current run on Batman. I never read WEHTTCC, but it's written by Neil Gaiman and heard/read more positive than negative about it.

Its a good story, but very light on the action. Like I said, its just a tribute to the bat

Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2
Dark Knight Returns is a must read at some point, but I think it's not good for a beginner. It's douchebag Batman, and that's ok, but that's not really what younger, more idealistic Batman is all about.
inb4 Seph recommends Hush. I see where he's coming from recommending it though even if he hates Jim Lee.

Thanks.
I'm a fan of Riddler and Joker. They're my two favorite villains. This is more or less based off the Batman Beyond series, old video games and about 5 different movies. But honestly I really enjoy most of the villains I've come across so I wouldn't say there's anything in particular I'm looking for. The psyche of Bruce Wayne actually really interests me though.

Thanks, didn't realize that but I'm giving it a look.
And thanks MrMr, douchebag Batman actually sounds pretty interesting.
