Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2
I voted for Zenescope. They have some of the weridest and creative shit Ive seen in comics in a while. DC, Im lukewarm for and Marvel can go fuck itself (in comics, they're movies are still good)

I haven't read Image since I really don't like what they did with Witchblade and Darkness and Spawn I don't know what to make of that one. Ive browsed through a few Vertigo titles, but I never really got into them

Saga is great. I love how the book opens up with a weird panel. Shame we have to wait for the next issue.

So what kind of genres do you like? Just from your Zenescope love I don't want to assume "fairy tale or anything with boobs and butts"

Just to let you know, Zenescope's comics arn't as fanservicey as their covers imply. There is fanservice but not that much. Second, I don't have a specific type of comic, just what ever catches my eye. If the comic is good, I'll like it, be it artwork or the story.

I hope you guys don't mind if I change the subject a bit, but what do you favor more, artwork or story. Would you rather read a decent story with fantastic art, or a fantastic story with decent art? I used to lean towards story, but I've moved more towards art over the past few months.

So, anyone else reading the best comic right now? Saga?

Just added to my pull list this week. I've been reading the others on my eariler list, as well, but I haven't been able to read Revival yet, because I've been bagging, boarding, and organizing books the last two weekends. I got way behind. I need to start taking better care of some of this stuff, but I just love to read them so much, and that's why they were created in the first place, right?

It really depends. I suppose I tend towards better stories with mediocre art, but I'll give a poor storyline a little longer than I normally would if I like the artist. Same with a character I like. I used to do a lot of art when I was a kid, so I'm always intrigued by aesthetics. . . I will buy a book, solely for a beautiful cover, as well.

Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2
Check out Saga. I can give you a link for the whole series or the trade comes out next month ($9.99).
The art is some of the best I've ever seen. The writing is phenomenal. It's probably going to go down as one of the best stories/ongoing of all-time (what Brian K Vaughan run hasn't?). Plus it is so wildly out there and creative and weird. Like this:
That's Prince Robot. This is moments before we find out his wife is pregnant.
Which we isn't surprising because we saw this earlier...
Oh and there's The Stalk
It is so wonderfully fantastic.
And crazy
I could not recommend this series enough.
Comes out Oct. 23rd

This is my favorite panel of the series so far. Puts a smile on my face every time I see it.
