But downloading might be your best option. Think of it this way, you are new to comics so if you didn't read them this way you wouldn't read them at all. But if you find something you love then you will definitely throw down some money to own it.

But there are definitely some recommendations we can give you that we can guarantee you will really enjoy.

Edit: I guess I should have said buying singles when they come out is expensive. Older stuff can be pretty cheap. Also, there's digital. Comixology has tons of deals all the time.
Thanks guys.

I guess I'll download some at first and see what I like and don't like.

Any download site recommendations?
Edit: Nvm, I'm sorted.

Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2

Just finished reading Cataclysm and the first two volumes of Batman: No Man's Land. I've really enjoyed it so far. The artwork varies from story to story and some is pretty crappy but there was one that particularly stood out; Bread and Circuses (in volume 2) looks like the artwork was inspired by Charles Burns (especially the depiction of the Penguin). I like the way that the whole story is told through dozens of short stories. It's a neat way of telling an epic story.

Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2

Redead.

If I go premium on that Lafile place that's connected with Comicsall so I can download stuff greater than 400MB, on a scale of 1-10, how likely is it that some comic book criminal in America ends up cleaning out my bank a/c?
