Havok didn't die. He was just in comic limbo after fighting his brother, Vulcan.

Also, Cannonball and Sunspot are also on the Uncanny Avengers' roster.

Vulcan was the third Summers brother. He was an okay/meh character. He was basically the main villain in the War of Kings storyline in the cosmic Marvel universe.

And yeah, I don't know why Remender choose Havok to be the leader of Uncanny Avengers.
