He's making that connection there because that girl is an outsider like him. Or is that a guy? Was never sure.

IMO, DC still doesn't know how to approach Superman. It seems that some DC writers and editors think Superman should be an outsider/lonely. I don't necessarily have that much of a problem with that because I think Superman is a character that can and should be interpreted in many different ways. However, that scene Lobell wrote were Clark said he didn't liking flying because it made him feel lonely just made him out to be a whining bitch.

He creates a Fortress of Solitude. Come on. I'm not saying he should ever be portrayed as a whiny lonely guy, but he is apart from humanity while also being the ideal human being.

to give Jim Lee enough of a head start to give the book a successful constant artistic run as Justice League had in the beginning.
It won't be enough of a head start.

I will do my best to keep up with this thread and attempt to start somewhere, now this thread is new

I would go for graphic novels instead of single issues. Much easier for someone who's new IMO.

Just pick a character or such you like, and just pick up a character or two you like and go from their.

My post is probably a jumbled mess, but just post some characters you like and someone more experienced can help more.
Those are pretty good suggestions. Graphic novels are great (I like my single issues, as well, but they take up more and money to space, often end up being more expensive to read, and can be a bear to track down sometimes), especially for someone just starting out.

The list is pretty comprehensive, and while it narrows things down, can still be daunting. I would identify what types of stories or characters you may like, and go with those.
