I don't remember if that scene actually happened in a comic or not but I do remember Uncanny X-Men 319 was the comic where they became a couple.

It was issue 17 if I'm correct.

Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2

IDK. I know that at the beginning of Warren and Betsy's relationship they were both surprised that the other was a member of the Hellfire Club (both of their parents were members, and membership gets passed down). #17 of UXF contradicts this as they both met at a Hellfire Club party. When I first read the issue I thought it was a dream, but I read it a second time and it seemed like it was and actual event. My guess is it may have been a retcon.

Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2

like they appeared to be written by someone who had never read aoa in his life and was told by his editor that the only thing that separated aoa from normal xmen was that magneto was a good guy and wolverine was missing a hand

the fact that aoa still even exists is bullshit because it was never supposed to be an alternate universe, it was supposed to be the marvel universe rearranged and that was the entire point. the series ended with magneto and rogue hugging while reality ended. then marvel retconned that because they cant leave anything alone

THATS ANOTHER RANT THOUGH

Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2

but the writer didnt do any of that

marvel just turned it into an alternate reality to keep milking it.

remember probably just saw he had control of angel and his archangel background, and wrote an apocalypse storyline, and then just said fuck it and included AoA people. maybe he just wanted an excuse to kill beast, I DONT KNOW

Although seriously, even by post apocalyptic realities, the AoA universe really sucks. i mean really really sucks. the only reality that comes close to being that disturbing is the old man logan one. and even then, the AoA universe is worse. zero hope. zero heroes. infinite bad guys with celestial power. honestly if i lived in that reality id try to GTFO or kill myself

Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2

if you read all the 40 or however many there are AOA issues at once it really is unrelentingly depressing

warren ellis had some especially depressing prefaces to his issues.
