Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2

yes. its a deconstruction of them

which makes it so baffling that most people get into comics by reading watchmen. even me

Watchmen is pretty much a must for any comic book fan. I mean I personally think most people overhype it and say it's the best thing ever yadda yadda, but it really is amazing.

Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2

My trade has the traditional Kingdom Come trade cover.

Edit: So iconic

As long as there's a Triforce, there will be a Zelda;
as long as there's a prosperous kingdom, there will be an evil bent on destroying it;
and as long as there's an oppressive force threatening Hyrule, there will be a boy...

in a green tunic, silver shield, and magic blade to stand against it.

That looks awesome Seph.

And I feel good knowing my first comic was The Killing Joke. My favorite hero and villain.

Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2

I'm late to the party but Astonishing X-Men is greatness. It's like reading Claremont's entire run but with a better sense of humor. You'll dig it a lot Striker.

Kingdom Come is so OVERRATED. But yeah I like Jim Lee so there is that too.

Watchmen is advanced comic book reading. You're going to miss a lot that's in there, but fortunately it really is that great so you'll read it more than once and pick up on stuff you missed the first time.

Jim Lee should draw Before Kingdom Come

as long as there's a prosperous kingdom, there will be an evil bent on destroying it;
and as long as there's an oppressive force threatening Hyrule, there will be a boy...
