My thoughts exactly. I can't even think a character that had a worse decade in comics than Spider-Man.
Also been reading Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by IDW. It's really fucking good. Also starting the mini series, the Secret of the Foot, as well and the art is fucking great. Recommend that as well.

Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2
My favorite comic book company has always been Marvel because I am a huge mark for The Hulk,Spider-man and Wolverine. However I did use to read some DC stuff also since I'm also a pretty big Batman mark.
Anyway is there any recent comic book series that I have to buy? I haven't been reading for years now..

People in here say Hawkeye is great.
Uncanny X-Force...yes X-Force, is the best Marvel series I've read recently.

Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2
I only have #4 of Hawkeye, but I really enjoyed it. So yeah, I'd definitely suggest following it.
You can try Avengers Arena, it's a bit hit-or-miss for people, but I like it.
I suggest avoiding Spider-man for the most part, Webhead's not doing so great. Though you can give Ultimate Comics Spider-man a shot, that's not doing too bad.

Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2
Don't get Avenger's Arena. Get Avenger's Academy instead.
Captain Marvel
HAWKEYE
Daredevil
Avenger's Academy
Uncanny X-Force
Secret Avengers
Journey into Mystery
Wolverine and the X-Men
Fantastic Four/FF
Venom
Those have been the best quality comics from Marvel the last few years.

Wish I could help ya. Don't really read Marvel anymore. As for DC, the Bat-books, Justice League and possibly Teen Titans. I go for the Indys nowadays

Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2
Thanks Red.
I'll probably go with Black Mirror.

Spider-Man: Ultimate Spider-Man Vol. 1
Batman: The Long Halloween
Flash: Move Forward (so much is OOP, Return of Barry Allen or Rogue War would be better for new readers)
Captain America: Winter Soldier
I'm going for value. The more you can get for a low price, the better. It just helps that all these rock. I was also flip flopping between Move Forward and Rogues' Revenge, but RR is mainly a Rogues story, not Flash. But then again, the best Flash stories ARE Rogues stories.
Edit: Black Mirror is a good rec too. But if you've never read Batman before, you might be put off that its not Bruce. But the story is amazing and easily one of the best runs on any Bat title ever.
Edit 2: Long Halloween is kind of the basis for The Dark Knight, Winter Soldier is being adapted as the next Captain America movie, and Ultimate Spider-Man is more or less the new Spider-Man movie.
