Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2

Just read GFT: Myths and Legends vol 4. Disappointing. First Samantha isn't in it and she is the main character. She wasn't in vol 3 all that much either, but I can forgive that because that was a good story, scary and disturbing. This story was just a Blair Witch ripoff mixed with Hansel and Gretel. The only part that moves the overall story along is in the end and that part of the plot gets resolved in another book.

Also, read Batgirl: The Darkest Reflection. First, I wish Steph was still Batgirl and it sucks that the only reasons she isn't is because Dan Didio hates her and likes nostalgia to much. It was good and really built up Bargirl dealing with walking and being Batgirl again. Mirror was also a really fucked up villain. Reminds me of someone who would be on Criminal Minds, sans the costume.

Hey, have you read any Secret Six? You'll love Scandal Savage.

As long as there's a Triforce, there will be a Zelda;
as long as there's a prosperous kingdom, there will be an evil bent on destroying it;
and as long as there's an oppressive force threatening Hyrule, there will be a boy...

I've been wanting to read Secret Six. Maybe I'll order the first trade from my local library.

Start with the ongoing, Secret Six: Unhinged is the first trade of the ongoing.

As long as there's a Triforce, there will be a Zelda;
as long as there's a prosperous kingdom, there will be an evil bent on destroying it;
and as long as there's an oppressive force threatening Hyrule, there will be a boy...

Re: Comics and Graphic Novels Vol. 2

im just rereading the last volume of new x men, and i realise, planet x works surprisingly well as a piece of comedy

from nobody giving a shit about magneto, the need to impress the crowd, magneto having to turn off the TV's to get their attention. The clincher was when Beak mentioned Nazis, the men who killed magneto's family, all he could say was "Nazi? do i look like a failed artist wit a neurotic obsession with my father?"

its pretty damn hilarious

Then we get the part where Magneto writes essays about how humans cant feel pain, Beak says even the carrot's (a fruit) can feel pain, then magneto bitch slaps him while shouting "VEGETABLE"

Brilliant parody of x men comics

You should check out Magneto: Testament.
