Just watched Milk starring Sean Penn.

What can I say its a very emotional and moving film, fantastic nonetheless. My initial reaction upon seeing all the camp gays at the beginning was ''oh god'' and I found myself laughing at them and even found the intimate scenes quite off putting (This does not mean in anyway that I am a homophobic) but as the movie progresses you start to sympathise more and it truly changes how you think about the whole situation. This is to not say I was ever opposed to gays, I have no problem at all, its your lifestyle choice. But yeah, it opens your eyes a whole lot. Fantastic and moving film. Penn is great as always.

That movie...man, I get overwhelmed when I watch it. I wanted Anita Bryant's blood while I watch the flick.

Spectacular. I <3 it.

It really is an amazing movie, you can't help but feel overwhelmed. I remember gasping with complete shock when Milk found his latino boyfriend just after he hung himself, that was a very emotional scene. Felt so sorry for Milk there. Anita Bryant and Briggs were just disgusting. Another scene that really got to me was when the kid in the wheelchair first called Milk and said he wanted to kill himself and Milk told him that he wasn't sick and that there was nothing wrong with him. And of course, the ending is also very sad.

Such a moving film, I can't stress how good it is.

Argo was absolutely fantastic. Everything you want in a thriller, it's intelligent and extremely gripping. I can't remember being so gripped and on the edge of my seat since maybe...I dunno, the last 15 minutes of Se7en or something. The best thriller I've seen in a really long time. I'd go into more detail but I don't want to spoil anything, it's something that you should go in knowing little about (if you don't already know the story), but it really plays with your emotions in the final 20-30 minutes. Just brilliant, Affleck's best film, and the best film of the year pretty easily for me. I came out of it thinking I'd watched something truly great, and that rarely happens, and hasn't since Drive last year.

Preachy but very well-acted and structured film. Brolin is in it, too, so it's a good thing automatically.

Last time I felt that suspensed during a film's final minutes and forgot the outcome being based on a true story was United 93.

I've never seen United 93 all the way through. Funny you should mention that because There were a couple of moments in Argo that reminded me of certain things from the Bourne movies. Mostly the way some scenes were shot.

That's the greatness of Paul Greengrass for you, master of the handheld camera, in my opinion.
