Think DDL will get some tough competition from both Seymour Hoffman and Phoenix this year. Just looking at trailers I am ready to give The Master the best picture award right now.
Ha, I meant to put DDL. I agree that just from the trailers alone The Master looks brilliant enough that Hoffman or Phoenix could win, but it's just hard not to go with Lewis and his superb acting.
There are so many great films this oscar season. I am looking froward to Argo,Killing Them Softly, The Master,Lincoln,The Iceman. Not to mention films like End of Watch and Looper that look really good as well.
Yeah Argo and Killing Them Softly will probably be up there with the best picture nominees. Just found out that Bryan Cranston is in Argo and Sam Rockwell is in Killing Them Softly, so the anticipation levels just went up on those. Shannon will surely be great in The Iceman too. Glad that Boardwalk Empire is almost back.
where else do you guys read movie reviews, and plus, where do you go to see actual viewer comments? Rottenttomatoes, as much as I love reading people rant on a one line (excerpt btw) of a review, it's too fucking stupid for me anymore.
Saw Lawless and thought it was brilliant. Guy Pearce done an amazing job, few scenes Gary was in he was his usual greatness and well Tom Hardy is Tom Hardy he can do no wrong and was excellent, even managed to look like a badass while wearing a cardigan.
I thought Hoffman was more likely to be supporting actor?
Terence Malick's latest film sounds an absolute mess. Have about 10 hours of film footage, cut Rachel Weisz, Jessica Chastain, Michael Sheen, Barry Pepper and Amanda Peet from the final cut.
Yeah Hoffman will probably end up in the supporting category. Can't tell without watching the movie tho.
Is that Malick's project with Christian Bale? Don't know why he decided to make a movie so soon after Tree of Life. Man works best with at least a 10 year gap between his projects. He has on with Ryan Gosling coming up soon too I think.
