I thought it was crap and I was really disappointed with it. It had all the ingredients to be wonderful but just didn't work for me. It's been a while since I saw it so my memory of it is a bit hazy now, plus I had really high expectations of it, so it's possible there are plenty of people who would love it, like poster above. But I didn't. I felt robbed. I wanted them to go back and make it again.
It shouldn't be compared to Machete. Machete was a masterclass in that kind of film-making, Hobo was what the kids messing about at the back of the film class and not paying attention would have made.
