Re: General Movie Discussion Part II

I've just been wondering, which Dark Knight movie villain did you feel was better: Joker or Bane? I think Joker was the more compelling character but Bane just oozed badass in that coat.

Joker. Dark knight was just a superior movie in every way IMO

Probably due to that movie being the peak of Amy Adams' hotness.

Talladega Nights is right below Anchorman. Amy Adams is still hot, IMO. And Reilly is a jack of all trades of talent.

The only good part of that movie. WC sucks.

I like Moretz and Moore cast in their respective roles. And Kimberly Pierce is directing.

They pulled the first trailer, which featured that scene, and then they decided on replacing the scene, which required reshoots and the release date being pushed back. So, in short, yes, you are right.

Haven't seen, but have heard that if you grew up during anytime in the 90s, it speaks directly to you.

May the odds be ever in your favor...

Because I call first dibs on this.

Never said she isn't hot.

SCJ have you seen Rampart with Woody Harrelson? Any good?

I agree. Not that either movie is the be-all-end-all movie like some people think it is but I was a little underwhelmed by TDKR other than the JGL subplot, Alfred was good (but barely in it) and Bane himself.

I wouldn't say every way. TDKR had Anne Hathaway and that Miranda Tate girl. Plus I think the action was better.

Re: General Movie Discussion Part II

good point. the girls in TDKR > TDK, but otherwise i preferred the dark knight which felt like i was watching something special, while TDKR just felt like a good film

Re: General Movie Discussion Part II

One thing I hated about both films is how the villains went out. No one knew Heath Ledger was going to die, but Joker just hangs upside down and gets taken away without a fight. while the film's climax involves Dent. They should have killed Joker off in a blaze of glory and have Batman let him fall to his death. How great would that have been?

And Bane? Poor Bane. He went out like a total bitch. So badass for so long. He breaks the Bat and brings Gotham to its knees. Then after getting beat up by Batman he just gets blasted across the room and after that he's completely forgotten about.

One thing Nolan could have done better was writing out the villains.

Yes I have. It's meh. Harrelson is good, but it is nothing special.
