Re: General Movie Discussion Part II

Children of Men is like Brazil except more dystopian

As long as there's a Triforce, there will be a Zelda;
as long as there's a prosperous kingdom, there will be an evil bent on destroying it;
and as long as there's an oppressive force threatening Hyrule, there will be a boy...

in a green tunic, silver shield, and magic blade to stand against it.

Brazil is also a lot like 1984, only Terry Gilliam's style and quirky humor makes this movie especially stand out. I liked Children of men, not sure what you men by "more dystopian" though. They both have a dystopian element, but Children of Men is definitely more realistic to real life.

Re: General Movie Discussion Part II

Speaking of Brazil, how the hell did I forget Terry Gilliam in that directors thread? -
Holy Grail, Brazil, Fisher King (personal fave), 12 monkeys, Fear and Loathing - all brilliant films.
Although I rewatched Time Bandits a while ago and didnt quite like it as much as remembered.

Special mention for Lost In La Mancha, great doc, Gilliam is still apparently working on getting his Don Quixote film made.

Went back and re-watched Death Proof. Forgot how much I love that film.
