Re: General Movie Discussion Part II

Snatch isn't even better than its predecessor Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels.

How is Children of Men like a Brit romantic comedy with zombies?

May the odds be ever in your favor...

Re: General Movie Discussion Part II

Saw Quentins interview at the press conference at the BAFTAS, he hinted at a trilogy of revisionist history films with one more to follow Basterds and Django. He wouldn't give any details, but on the poll I voted Vietnam War as the event I wanna see him tackle the most. It won with a landslide, I think Quentin getting his hands on a Vietnam War movie would just be badass as hell. One can only hope.

Geek movies is a pretty easy term to figure out. Geek usually means someone who is deep into something, in this case movies and movies as in movies. Seem to be taking my comment slightly too seriously as I didn't mean it as an insult.

But yea it might be me trying act cool. I do that a lot.

Re: General Movie Discussion Part II

Brazil would definitely rank as one of my top 20 favorite movies of all time. Not saying it's the best British film ever, but it's a damn unique and entertaining one.

I might be in the minority, but I didn't like Don't look now. Thought it was boring with an anticlimactic ending. Donald Sutherland is always terrific, but this just didn't work for me.

Big ups on everyone that mentioned the Shane Meadows stuff. That man has been on a winning streak for a while now. His movies certainly rank amungst the best Britain's had to offer in the last decade.
