Prometheus wasn't really good. It bordered on awful. A friend of mine told me if you watch the movie from the perspective that Wayland is insane and so he hires incompetent scientists and is doing this mission on the cheap, then it does get a bit better. Really though, Damon Lindlelof just isn't that good of a writer.
When I saw the Prometheus trailer? All I thought of was "Alien".

I just expected more from Prometheus. A lot more.
It presents plenty of insightful thoughts--meeting your maker, science vs. religion, etc.--that go nowhere. Fassbender is the highlight, no doubt.

And heres one thing that irritates me....how the fuck you gonna have The Last Exorcism 2? You just had THE LAST EXORCISM!! Guess that last one should have been called The Second Last Exorcism. Geez, what a bunch of morons.

Thank you. I almost forgot about how pissed I was when I saw the advertisement for that.
I was one of the few suckers who bought into the first movie, and saw it in theaters. Wow, okay, it was shit. Moving on, thought I'd never have to hear about it or see it. It got horrible ratings, and it was slowly forgotten about.
How the hell can there even be a Last Exoricsm 2? Who in the world would think this is a good idea? Honesty, I don't even care. I can't imagine it's going to do shit in the box office. Surprised it's not a straight to DVD release.

I know I only got into Prometheus b/c it peaked my interest while watching. It did leave a LOT of questions unanswered. Guess the ending is all it needed to tell you when it was all said and done. Oh well.
