Quite possibly seems to be the only reason.

This brief (negative) Synder bit was the exact push I needed to pop in Watchmen for tonight. Been tempted to watch it every night this week, only I say no b/c I'll be too engrossed by it and not want to eventually power down for sleep. Put it in at 5 am, over at 7 am, won't sleep till a bit following, have to get up by 10 am, you catch my drift.

If only the movie wasn't so damn amazing.

I'd put Gus up there with Lars Von Tier as Directors that definitely defined the decade. I think Sion Sono is the greatest director of the 00s, but that's just me.
You're not alone there.

Bullet to the Head -> Good, not great. a Few action spots

Parker -> Horrible, but everyone has to see it because Statham tries to fake a Texan accent (that still sounds British, while he is posing as a guy from Ecuador) and it totally fools J-Lo.

The Last Stand -> possible better than Parker, but everyone is a fucking moron but Arnold in the movie; it's frustrating to sit through.

Why does Statham even try to do an accent?

Parker I'd watch it for the lulz.

Just watched 'The Devils'. Really exposes the craziness, lunacy and complete ridiculousness of religion (albeit this is set in the 16th century), and it's obvious why this is one of the most controversial movies ever made. The fact that this was based on real events is pretty scary. The hallucination scenes are incredible and surreal, and pretty shocking at times. The film isn't really violent in what it shows on camera, it's more to do with what is happening off camera, but that's not the reason this caused such shit when it came out and has done ever since. It's the portrayal of religion and it's followers, the utter insanity of it all and the sexualisation of it. Oliver Reed is amazing in this, one of the better screen performances I can safely say I've ever seen, and the sets and the overall look of the film is so good. Just an incredible powerful piece of work with a whole lot to say. If you can find a way to watch this, then do it. I'd say it's an absolute must see for anyone that loves films and appreciates them as an art form. A masterpiece.

He speaks Texan, but it's completely British. Then later on, she catches him sneaking around and he stops speaking Texan and he speaks his normal accent. She says nothing.

Then even later on they go somewhere secret and he speaks exactly the same, only this time she openly says "A British accent!"

True story. He also steals more cars than Rambo kills men.

Yeah, Statham should just be British. He has a thick accent and can't pull it off.
