Goslings movie he's directing sounds really interesting. Definitely looking forward to it. He seems to have a good eye for great scripts and roles (for the most part) as an actor so I'm willing to bet he could create something really good behind the camera. Story definitely sounds intriguing, and it has Christina Hendricks too.

Just finished watching the Exorcist 3 with George C Scott. Wow, this day I can't figure out how anyone can claim that this is a bad movie. In many ways it tops the original for me, and it's light-years better than the second movie. E3 is the very epitome of underrated.
Arnie learned a long time ago the secret to success. He said himself, watching Clint Eastwood. Short but sweet catchphrases, that's the key. The simple one liners are the most memorable, and with Arn's unmistakable accent, it worked wonders for him. Oh, and he's a badass in almost every movie he's in, that also helps.
Has anyone seen 'Man On The Moon' starring Jim Carrey from 1999? It's a biographical film of comic Andy Kaufman.
I watched it for the second time last night and damn it is very, very good. Highly recommended.
Yeah, loved it. Great film.

Of all the horror movies I've seen, it has one of the handful of scenes that legitimately startled me.

Which one would that be? For me there's a few, but I know that the Hedge Clipper scene is notoriously scary.
I might be a little biased though, I loved the book in which the movie was based on (it was originally supposed to be called Legion like the book, but they gave it the Exorcist name for better marketability). The problem is that people go into it expecting the Exorcist, and it's very disconnected from the original plot. Legion really is it's own thing.
Plus, it's one of the only 2 movies William Blatty actually directed, and i'm a HUUUUUUUGE fan of his first movie "The Ninth Configuration". E3 is much in the same style as TNC with it's dreamlike sequences and esoteric undertones, and Blatty even brings back some of the actors.
I might like TNC a bit more than E3, but they're both top notch psychological horror from an absolute master of his craft.

Brilliant scene. The crawling on ceiling scene is great too. Definitely agree that it's a very underrated film.
