Re: General Movie Discussion Part II
I was thinking about rewatching Drive. The Driver falls in love, but that doesn't make him stereotypical, just makes him human. Besides, they didn't end up together anyway, which WOULD be stereotypical.

But all the acts he makes are sterotypical. The movie revolves around this idea of love like liberation, but not any love but the idea of a family and a normal life. Wich is highly conservative and contrary to the stetic the film propose and with the first take on violence used.
And the end is highly cowardly, Reifn doesn't has the corage to kill the Driver but his solution is to split him from the woman (and i'm not going to talk about how the woman seems to take a secondary roll not being able of make a decision by himself when at the begining is presented like a strong case). There is not even a real redemption for him, his punish is him not being able to form a family? like real?.

There is a slide show on Rotten Tomatoes of Statham's movie career. Dude's awesome. The gold standard for action movies today.

I watched The Hunger Games today for the first time since the theaters. This movie is actually really bad. The acting was fine, but everything else was awful.

Re: General Movie Discussion Part II
Just watched Bronson. Love that film. I first watched this a couple years ago when I ran into my best friend from high school. He told me about it and I had never heard of Tom Hardy, been a huge fan ever since. His films get better and better. Although Dark Knight Rises is my favorite movie of his, I still think Bronson is his best performance.

Doesn't look like there's going to be a Hellboy 3 or a Constantine 2. Big sad. Del Toro/Pearlman both seem interested in/want Hellboy 3 but Del Toro don't think it'll happen cause it'll cost too much so no one will pick it up.

I hope you're wrong. I'm dying for another Hellboy and Constantine.
As for Sephiroth, Death Proof along with Inglourious Basterds are the only Tarantino films I've seen more than once. I agree about the first half of Death Proof, but with a few viewings it made me appreciate the film more. (though I wish Mary E. Winstead was in it more )
