Cannibal Holocaust wasn't as bad it was made out to be, but then I don't see all the fuss with the Saw film series. The director of CH claims to be the inventor of found footage films.

I haven't seen CH, just pictures and that shit made me gag. That claim about FF films, The Legend of Boggy Creek says hello.
Honestly, any horror film with excessive gore is seen in negative light, but the first Saw film was just gruesome in tone, not on-screen carnage. Same with Hostel.
Django Unchained was brilliant. If you're not a QT fan I'd stay away from it, but if you are like me then fuck, you'll love this. Better than Basterds and both Kill Bill's for me, I loved the hell out of it. One of the most insanely entertaining movies I've seen for ages.

Re: General Movie Discussion Part II
This "movie" (it's only an hour long) fucked me up. I bought it on DVD because I'm a John Carpenter fan but man, it stayed with me afterward for whatever reason. One of the only movies that has ever done that to me in my life. Upon reflection, it's really cheesy & I don't know why it did in the first place, but you guys talking about the shit above made me remember it again.
Best part about it was that the DVD came with a John Carpenter card! Like a literally card, like a baseball card. I now use it as a bookmark.
Guys have you seen El Gringo, the one from 2012? If you did what are your thoughts about it? I think it was decent enough 6/10
Thought it was pretty good. I'm a big Mel fan and was pleased to him back doing something worthwhile.
I read he's going to have a cameo in the Mad Max: Fury Road as The Drifter, or something like that. I was originally gutted he wasn't playing Max until I heard Tom Hardy was.
Yep, plus a scene where a pregnant woman gives birth while driving a car, it pops out to the floor where its head gets crushed by the accelerator pedal.
Plus you see see all the mouth to anus connections, which are done with a staple gun and gaffer tape.
Read that nonsense. I want to see it from a humor standpoint, only I don't want to have to tolerate staring at that fat bastard for 88 minutes. (I googled. Looks HORRIBLE)

Why must I like to see cinematic violence so much? I'm actually still wanting to see the fucked up stuff knowing full well the bulk of the "film" will be a drastic waste of my time. Things are tough all around.
