I would love to watch Les Mis on stage but I have no strong desire to watch any musical on a screen. The atmosphere just feels all wrong.

On second thoughts, I'll make an exception for Cabaret. That's a sublime film.

There are tons of great musicals, most of the Demy or Donen/Kelly filmography for example. But Les Mis seems just a serious effort to be "the definitive Musical" and collect a bunch of oscars and making a prestige based on that. So yes, fuck the movie

Zero Dark Thirty was really good, but there is no way it's anywhere near as good as it's been hyped up to be. It's a good story and the acting is superb, but there was nothing in it to raise it above other certain films from 2012, like, nothing was done particularly greatly in it. It was just a matter of fact straight forward type of deal which is fine and dandy, but there wasn't anything to get me to completely care about it. Saying that I enjoyed it and it was never slow or dull despite it's long running time. Chastain was brilliant, and it had a couple of tense moments but nothing that compared to Argo, which as a true to life thriller was far better.

Personally, I think Zero Dark Thirty was ALOT better than Argo and Argo was a pretty damn good movie.

Zero Dark Thirty is in no way better than Argo imo. Only thing it has that's better is Chastain. Argo stylistically was better, more tense and gripping.
