Re: General Movie Discussion Part II
Blue Velvet
Lost Highway
Eraserhead
Not sure if you've seen the TV show Twin Peaks, but Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me doesn't require you watch the series really. It just enhances it.

Re: General Movie Discussion Part II
I've been given the recommendation that I'll love Twin Peaks. Guess it's unanimous I give it a shot. Didn't know Lynch was a part of it.

Re: General Movie Discussion Part II
The bad thing about Twin Peaks is that it didn't get to go down like Lynch wanted. ABC put certain demands on him that he really didn't like. Had HBO been in the business of producing television series, Twin Peaks would've been far, far better off.
It's still pretty damn entertaining though. I'd watch the series and then watch Fire Walk With Me.

Far too many times does that claim come up. Most channels need to be like HBO and cut out the filters. (I know they can't, but I'll dream)
I take it the movie is tied with the series. I'll give it a shot whenever I feel up to giving Twin Peaks a chance. Which I will.

This post, exactly. I'll admit I thought Twin Peaks was rather boring; but even I liked it. I wouldn't watch it a 2nd time though.
It's on Netflix!!! No Lost highway however.

Re: General Movie Discussion Part II
Twin Peaks has two great stretches. The first season is a great slow build. Season 2 starts off great, but once the first mystery is solved, it takes a huge dip. Almost doesn't feel like the same show anymore.
End of the Second season comes back real strong though. I tend to try and forget the 4-5 episode span where it slows down.

The series is after Laura Palmer's murder. The film is leading up to her murder. I'd watch the series first.
Twin Peaks is pretty famous for its gorgeous female cast btw.

Note taken.
Gorgeous dames you say? Well, this is starting to sound very promising.

Re: General Movie Discussion Part II
Blue Velvet is fucking brilliant. Mulholland Drive also, although I really need to re-watch it. Wild At Heart is great too. Got Twin Peaks for Christmas! and I've got Lost Highway and Inland Empire on DVD to watch too but haven't ever gotten around to watching them yet.

Re: General Movie Discussion Part II
A David Lynch discussion and no one invited me?!!! Injustice!!!
I agree on Twin Peaks. They need to make a remake of that and on HBO. Didn't really like Mulholland Drive. Though I did like Billy Ray Cyrus getting beat up
