Good man.

Radical. I was very intrigued when I read about many months ago. Half expecting it to go the way Elephant did. Not comparing the two, but judging by the plot it feels like it's going to build and build towards eventual (and assuming) violent climax.

Watched Seeking A Friend For the End of the World & just finished End of Watch. Safe to say I loved them both.

Seeking: I fell in love with this about 5 minutes in. It's a story I was immediately drawn to. What would you do if you knew the world was going to end in 3 weeks? It spoke to me on pretty big level. I'm generally a sucker for any believable, heartfelt romance. This was plenty full of it. Might actually be my favorite of the year. Cabin in the Woods, put your hands up. Your fight has commenced.

End of Watch: Spot on to all of those who said this wasn't a standard "cop vs gangs/criminals" type deal. It was all about the characters. Which is why I loved it. You cared. The back and forth between the friendship of Jake Gyllenhaal & Michael Pena was simply fantastic. Nothing more to add than this was the sleeper hit for me, so far. I had zero interest to check it out. Bubz, legit recommendation. Cheers.

Glad you liked End Of Watch. It'd be pretty hard for anyone to not enjoy it at least imo.

Interested to see if you like Safety Not Guaranteed as much as I did.

Beasts is a thing of Beauty. Argo is my fave of the year.

Seriously I fucking fell in love with Blunt in The Adjustment Bureau. Jim from The Office is a lucky dude.
Got an interview invite for her via phone. Definitely going to take them up on that offer.

If this download for Seeking A Friend For the End of the World doesn't work atm, I'll go directly to End of Watch. If it does, then End of Watch is next. Think the last thing I saw Michael Pena in was 30 Minutes of Less. Gonna get a kick out of seeing him rock a serious role again. Sidenote: he always seems to play a cop of the sort or criminal

Marion Cotillard is pretty great, imo. I'm intrigued. Don't know what it is, but I have an easy time watching French films over any other type of foreign movie.

Looper is on my backburner. I'll give it a chance eventually. SNG is downloaded. Can't wait.
Looper is worth it. One of my faves of the year.

I am in the minority liking it but........ Really??

Well, I guess I can talk Hobbit and Django...

Hobbit I do the opposite of Gandalf: I give it a pass. It's good, not great.

Django I can sum up with QT beginning to look bloated like this. Still, it is not a bad movie. Good, not great. Dicaprio and Jackson are great.

Who knows, Leonardo Dicaprio could get a supporting actor nod and win an oscar that way. I can't think of anyone that has been consistently great in movies for the last 15 years and yet hasn't won an oscar.
When is DDL not a frontrunner anytime he stars in a movie?

And Dicaprio will get the nod for supp. actor (a category QT is good at working into awards consideration) but won't win.

Two great tragedies in film.

I can go along with the argument that the problems with Family Guy for the past few years are evident in Ted and why I found it to be good, not great.

I like to think so too. Although, I can see my siblings not caring. They aren't quite the movie buff I seem to be. Unless it is comedy or superhero related. I only get an in depth movie discussion with my best friends, haha.

I've downloaded more so sadly that was pushed back. Have Ted ready to go in a bit. Safety will probably get watched tonight. Have Killer Joe, Moonrise Kingdom, & The Amazing Spiderman ready to view also.

I wished Argo & Skyfall were out on DVD. Dying to see those.

Looper will be a late watch. I'll give it a chance.

Perhaps. Only seen/know one person to rank it at #1 on their Quentin list. Only going by what I know.

Skyfall screeners were sent out, so stay tuned to torrent sites.

Here's how I rank QT...

1) Pulp Fiction
2) Kill Bill: Vol. 2
T3) Inglourious Basterds
T3) Kill Bill Vol. 1
5) Reservoir Dogs
6) Django Unchained
7) Death Proof

Only Jackie Brown I've not seen...

Awesome. Gonna keep my eyes peeled for it.

Hey, someone who actually liked Vol 2 over Vol 1. Another rarity among Quentin fans. Or, so it seems to me.

Not concerned about Django being low either. All the films above it are great. Granted, I could see myself liking Django more than Pulp Fiction. I don't rank that one as highly as some others do.

KB: V2 is a streamlined perfect script.

Try telling that to most fans. You get the tired and untrue "it's boring" drivel. Which I don't understand. Not a single bit. Wasn't stockpiled with massive amounts of action & blood that the first produced. That's the point of splitting the story.

Learning the backstory of Beatrix was essential. As was tying all the loose ends. I still adore the scenes featuring Pai Mei.
