Re: General Movie Discussion Part II

That Bane video was hilarious. The freestyle at the stadium was amazing.

Loved the war at the end of TDK and how over the top it was personally. Pretty much the only stuff I didn't like in it was Banes death and it showing Bruce at the end at the cafe. I love the whole trilogy though, and I'd actually find it hard to rank them in an order. Movie definitely had it's flaws, but the great stuff far, far outweighed the few bad things for me. One of my favourites of the year and has a good chance at staying in my top 5 and definitely in my top 10.

This years had some brilliant shit too, so that shows how much I enjoyed TDKR the two times I've seen it.

Emily Blunt, Emily Blunt.... oh the things i'd like to do to her c*nt.

Seriously I fucking fell in love with Blunt in The Adjustment Bureau. Jim from The Office is a lucky dude.

Emily Blunt was probably the best thing about Looper tbh. She's fine as hell.

Oh, she's wonderful. Why else would I watch Gulliver's Travels? (Jack Black...)

Urm...End Of Watch . Looper was decent, I seem to like it way less than most people too.

Re: General Movie Discussion Part II

Eh...I'm not really much of a cop movie kind of guy. Is it REALLY worth a watch regardless of the genre?

I'm lukewarm on Looper as it is. Blunt is prime & I'm a mark for JGL, but it lacked major appeal.

Would I write a book? Or should I take to the stage?

Re: General Movie Discussion Part II

End Of Watch is more about the characters and their day to day activities than most cop movies. It's definitely a great movie and yeah, I'd recommend it. I liked it more than Training Day (same director) which I kinda think gets a bit overrated. There were a couple parts were I wasn't sure about the hand held camera effect but for the most part it was really well done.

I'd recommend Rust And Bone too if you dig foreign movies. Probably the most accessible of the foreign movies I've seen this year. Kinda melodramatic but it's really powerful stuff tbh.

I'd only recommend Looper to someone who's a big sci-fi fan. For all this talk of how original it was, it steals so much stuff from other sci-fi movies. Safety Not Guaranteed is a better sci-fi movie .
