It's Kate Bigelow. She's loved.

And nah Nolan's Batman isn't that good. Rises is ok, but long by like 20-30 minutes, and there are some glaring WTF moments in that thing. Batman dodging missiles, the same missiles!!!!!, for like 20 minutes is hilariously bad. The ending is pure lolwtf. The Dark Knight is really the only great one and that's mostly because of Heath Ledger.

Hardy was awesome; acting with just your eyes and a goofy voice is impressive. JGL was the best thing and most compelling character in it. Hathaway is good as Catwoman but she totally didn't need to be in it. Nolan justifies her existence in the film by having her out of the blue kill Bane. I also wonder in his awful ability to portray comedy/comedic moment if he was going for a Raiders of the Lost Ark bit there. Probably not. I hope he didn't. And wtf Alfred.

If The Dark Knight didn't have Ledger's Joker, I think I'd put Burton's two Batman flicks above Nolan's.

Didn't have a problem with any of that stuff in TDKR, apart from Bane's death which annoyed me the first time I saw it. Loved the end (although actually showing Bruce was a misstep). All three are tons better as films than Burton's. Only thing they have going for them is the set design and the score imo, I hate everything else about them.

Oh and Talia's death scene was so bad it's almost like they intentionally made it suck. Marion Cotillard and Nolan are better than that. I mean I laughed there. It was that bad. It was more humorous than any intentionally funny moment in the movie.

Talia's death was terrible. Her reveal was obvious as well and I had no clue who Talia was going into the movie and I still saw that shit coming. The ending scene at the cafe was beyond terrible. Might be the worst scene I've saw in a movie this entire year. I hated it that much.

That being said I loved TDKR. It doesn't live up to TDK though and it had every chance to do it.

You forgot to mention the Prince soundtrack.

Maybe it's that awful Bat-suit. I hate the Bat-suit in Nolan's films. Have i mentioned how much I liked the Blake character and how much he held that movie together?

I will say this. The Dark Knight Rises has stuck with me, so that's a success I reckon.

Oh yeah Talia's death, that did suck. I'm not saying that film is without it's flaws at all, but I loved it. It's just the kind of film that I could look past it's flaws because I enjoyed it so much. Usually that wouldn't happen but I think I was just marking out for the whole thing once Batman first appeared in the tunnel. I saw it twice too and liked it even more the second time.

Burton's Batman films are some of the most fun blockbusters around. Nolan doesn't do fun, he does super intense and it's usually a mixture of pure awesomeness and pure garbage. I rate Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises about the same, both quality films that go on way too long and try way, way too hard to make cutting edge messages about society.
The set-pieces are godly though.
