Just got done watching Lonely Hearts and I thought it was an excellent watch and recommend it for any other crime-drama genre fans like me.
It stars John Travolta and James Gandolfini as New York police detective in the 50's and them trying to track down and arrest two con-artist lovers in Jared Leto and Selma Hayek. I thought both Leto and Hayek were perfect for their roles and did great.... hey, even John Travolta was pretty darn good. But it's still hard to picture James Gandolfini as a cop not as a mob boss with a sausage sandwich in one hand and a cigar in the other as we came to know him as.
Ok, Paranorman was real good. The Soundtrack was Awesome, the stop-motion was phenomenal (better than Coraline), the story was pretty good too. Hilarious to no end, great throw backs to other horror movies, and one intense end scene.
Rented 2 films that I have been meaning to check out.
The Raid: Redemption which really was one of the best action films I have seen in a freaking long time.
And Drive...which I loved...literally everything about it. The soundtrack is one of my favorites ever and I just loved the way the film was done, as the violent moments came off as actually being shocking. Ryan Gosling was fantastic and I'd even go as far as to say that it is going to be one of my personal favorite films for a long time.
@ Kingkicks...Yeah, I adore Drive. I'd go as far as to say it's my favorite film of the last 5+ years. Genuinely think I wanted to go and have a threesome with Refn and Gosling after I saw it.
I think it's a pretty cool concept. Like, every episode of the Stooges or Scooby Doo where they went to a haunted house were my favorite. Obviously it's got a Saw vibe to it, which I look forward to.

My missus hated the first one of them. Suppose I will have to ask her nicely to watch number 2. Haha.
