Re: General Movie Discussion Part II

I did lose interest during Raging Bull. Was engrossed during all of Taxi Driver. You knew it was building to a memorable climax.

Re: General Movie Discussion Part II

I haven't seen Anti Christ and have no interest in it from what i've heard but The Hunter was only okay. I watched it a few weeks ago and Defoe was really good in it but its not a really eventful movie.

Anti Christ is fucked up. I was high as fuck when I first watched it and thought I was just too high to handle it at the time. I watched it again sober and no, it wasn't the weed. That movie is just fucked up.

Eh, don't take the pimping to heart. Taxi Driver is infinitely better than Raging Bull, in my opinion, and by a large margin too. Raging Bull is still a good film but to me, it's a movie you watch once & that's the end of it. Taxi Driver I can put in once a month or so & always be entertained by it. It is truly timeless. Taxi Driver is one of my favorite movies though so I am pretty biased. I just feel like a lot of Raging Bull is lost on me due to the generation gap. Had I watched it when it first came out it might have had a bigger impact on me. I watched it as a grown man, after seeing movies like Scarface, so none of it was really shocking or surprising to me, including the over-the-top dialogue.
