Why would you spend your first date seeing a movie based on the real life murder of a transgender man?

Thank you Edge.

No kidding.

Now that I think about it, Blue Velvet was another movie that disturbed me

As for a film that raises the bar for the most utterly disturbing:

Re: Most disturbing movie you've seen?

Years ago "Pink Floyd--The Wall" disturbed me. I was able to get through the scary masks and the kids getting squished during "Another Brick in the Wall Part 2" but then Pink leaned his hand on a piece of broken glass I'd had enough by then and didn't finish the movie. Funny because a few years later Pink Floyd became one of my favorite bands

EDIT: just read the whole thread and my movie is pretty lame in comparison

Yeah, a coworker recommended it to me a while back with the forewarning that I'd likely hate my life afterwards. Boy was he right.

Re: Most disturbing movie you've seen?

I'm normally alright with gross stuff, but Wolf Creek really fucked me up for some reason. I had to keep looking away, and even left the room at one point. It was well embarrassing, but I just couldn't sit through it. It was just horrible. For some reason it really got to me. Maybe because it's based on a true story.

Requiem for a Dream is considered a chick flick? News to me.
