It could have worked if they didn't make such a big deal out of it, if everyone who was asked the question just asked someone else and the question changed each time, that might have worked. But you're right that there was too much setting it up and not enough pay off.

I also thought they might have got another episode or two's worth of material out of the new computer Pree.

First one was reintroducing them all, this latest one was mostly about Lister, so I'd expect Rimmer will be next, then Cat and Kryten focused episodes, then hopefully the last one will be a stereo-typical cliffhanger which they'll completely ignore for series 11.

I'm loving the old-schoolness of a lot of the jokes. Naylor seems to be trying (and mostly succeeding so far) in bringing the show back to its roots. I'm starting to get used to them looking older now as well. It didn't stand out as much to me this second episode as much as it did in the first one.

We just need that Rimmer focused episode and I'll be delighted with the series.

Hmm, I suppose. Doesn't feel like that though, as was getting used to everything. So I'm probably saying I want two Rimmer focused episodes.

I enjoyed this weeks again, but I hate myself for not being able to ignore the huge plot holes and enjoy it the way I used to. All the way through I just kept thinking why walk 4000 miles for lemons to make a battery when both Kryten and Rimmer and electronically powered
