Re: Unpopular TV and Film Opinions

Apparently Friends is quite unpopular on here. But I think Friends is the greatest sitcom of all time.

Woody Allen. dafaq?

Guy makes these horrible movies about relationships, even though he clearly doesn't know anything about how to keep one. People lick it up and pretend he is this great director, probably the most overrated filmmaker since Kevin Smith or Spike Lee. And when he breaks the fourth wall, ugh. Acting like he is some great storyteller, giving us his godly wisdom. Talk about an asshole.

Yeah Annie Hall is a bit of a bore IMO. Never been a fan of his, although Love and Death is hilarious

Re: Unpopular TV and Film Opinions

Woody can be indulgent as hell but I still adore quite a few of his movies. Enough to call him one of the greats in fact. Any movie where he's a serious lead is usually a turn off for me though, part of the reason why I've never been able to get into Manhattan which is exsquisite from a filmmaking perspective.

Project X sucked, it makes you think 'man i wish i was at that party', but it still sucked as far as movies go.

Re: Unpopular TV and Film Opinions

Oh, I got one that I'm sure fits for this place.

I think Kevin Smith is hilarious and I love his films for what they are. Vulgar, a bit silly, and shows some heart while capturing aspects of (his) life on film to either discuss, make light of, or vent about.

Nouvelle Vague.

Still The Simpsons > Family Guy for me which I guess not many people feel any more.
