Re: Hope is lost, faith is broken...The Dark Knight Rises - July 20th, 2012 (SPOILERS
What an amazing movie to finish a truly wonderful trilogy. It was long, but I walked away with the biggest smile on my face. Just some beautiful ways to tie up storylines and make you feel great about the way everything turned out for all main characters.
I've had a few mates of mine disagree with the end where the camera shows Alfred smiling at the couple, saying that it should have just been implied, but they're nuts. I tend to be of the school of thought that believes that because I know absolutely nothing about making movies, I'll take them as they are and try not to be too criticising. Not that there's really anything major to critique.

I also love how Bane & Talia sort of served up "theatricality and deception" to take advantage of Bruce, occupy Gotham, destroy order & recreate a new warped order that was suppose to give them a sense of empowerment while the real plan is for the bomb to destroy everything. Now that's evil intent.

EDIT - Both established the characters and type of villain each antagonist was very well. I like how Joker had all of his guys kill each other; and I like the grand scale, intricacy, and determination Bane had to conduct his plan. I like the music more in Joker's opening.
