Re: Hope is lost, faith is broken...The Dark Knight Rises - July 20th, 2012 (SPOILERS
Was I only the one who saw a lot of similarities between Bane's movement and the Occupy Wall Street movement?

What a fantastic movie. Levitt and Hathaway stole the show, but I think this was Bale's best performance out of the three. Initially I thought that Bane's voice was really awkward and standing out but it got better.
I think the only thing I would like to have seen changed would to perhaps further develop the relationship between Bruce and Miranda Tate in the early goings.
Oh, and for 2 hours and 45 minutes, it did not feel long at all. And considering I had to go to the bathroom about halfway through, that's saying something.

Re: Hope is lost, faith is broken...The Dark Knight Rises - July 20th, 2012 (SPOILERS
I saw the midnight premier and thought it was a pretty great film. There were some questionable moments (cops running directly at tanks, for instance) and the first hour or so was a bit jumbled but Almost would've considered Bane the best villain of these films: I thought they did a really fantastic job with him, but they blew it right at the end. I completely forgot about Talia so that reveal took me by surprise, but they could've done a much better job with it. The way it played out felt very M. Night Shyamalanian. Not only that but within one minute Bane went from incredible badass to someone who did not climb out of the prison, did not get kicked out of the League of Shadows for being too extreme, and wasn't even really in charge. And then within another minute he was killed off in a relatively lame way.
There were plenty of things I did love though, and everything after Bane took over was fucking incredible. There was just plenty of little things that really added to film, like Scarecrow as the judge (that "death by exile" line was hilarious). And I'm really glad they didn't kill Batman off in the end. I was expecting it and it would've just been such a damn generic end to the series that I'm relieved they didn't go with that.
I need to see the film again before deciding where it'd sit among the other two: there were times when I was considering in the best and others when I would've put it towards the bottom, but overall they did a great job with both this film and the series as a whole.

Just saw the film and it was great. Very interesting ending and I loved the way they portrayed the Bane character. Also, I think they did a tremendous job on giving him his special voice. Plus, Anne as Catwoman was quite hot.

Yeah, I didn't like that Talia ended up being the one who climbed out of the prison. Personally, I don't think Talia was even necessary in this film and it should have just been Bane and his group of terrorists trying to finish what the League of Shadows started in Batman Begins. I understand that Talia was Ra's al Ghul's daughter but still. Bane had an awesome backstory going with him being the only one to climb out of the prison (before Bruce Wayne did it) and being too extreme even for the League of Shadows and all of that was pretty much ruined when Talia was revealed to be the one who climbed out of the prison and Bane was basically a guy who got his ass kicked in the prison trying to protect her.
Regardless, it was a great film. Five fucking stars.

Also liked that they finally included Robin (even only in the ending but good twist)

He might have died. It's a very real possibility that Alfred was just imagining he saw Bruce at the end because he felt somewhat guilty for his death. Nolan played his cards right there, for sure.

Nah, Bruce is alive and well with Selina. If Alfred was dreaming, why was Selina Kyle with Bruce? He had no clue about their relationship and barely knew she existed. If he was dreaming, I think Rachel would have been with Bruce instead of Selina.
This isn't Inception.
