Tried watching The Dark Knight today for the first time since seeing it in the theater. Turned it off during the boats segment. Boring, tedious, takes itself way too seriously.
I think Nolan's ambition far outweighs his talents as a writer. He's a great director though and it's no coincidence that Insomnia is his best film by a mile and it's the one film he's directed that he didn't write.
