what a disappointment this film was. The first half was great though.
The Dark Knight is one of the best Batman's of all time. It is up there with the first one with Keaton as Batman. Both involved The Joker which imo is THE ultimate villain.

its actually quite literal/basic honestly. Just he took care of the villains in gotham, but they need someone to take responsibility for harvey dent's kills, so they don't need him at the moment

that doesnt make any sense
for a start, those two villains could basically be attributed to batman's existence
he isnt here to beat up clowns, his mission was to take down the mob. while joker did damage to them there was zero sign to batman that the mob has been destroyed.
its pretending to be deeper than it. nothing like this was ever even mentioned in the comics. it sounds deep at first but once you think about it, you realise how pretentious it is and how its trying to be more than it is |
