I think I would have. I know i would have liked it better if the director didn't fucking hold our hand to ensure us Bruce was alive. Anyone with a brain already knew it before the Alfred scene.

It was only as plot-holey as the other 2, which weren't bad enough for me to have problems with it during the movie.
I actually like that he lived, in the capacity that he did. He gave absolutely everything to Gotham (his youth, parents, adolescence, got kicked out of college and came back to kill Chill, abandoned everyone he knew to be a criminal, his day to day happiness, his health, his reputation, his alter egos reputation, his wealth, his love of his life, his best friends, his alter egos life, and faked his own death). It took him like 40 years or whatever, but he finally found a woman to make him happy, that wanted to be with him, and was able to have his own life out of the limelight and stress. He EARNED his happy ending.
