Why does everyone hate Quantum of Solace. Ive enjoyed all of Craigs bonds films. Wasnt it in Royal when he was wrestling this guy with a knife in a crowded area and nodded like he was calling someone which distracted the guy then he killed him. Thats my fav scene out of all 3.
Saw Skyfall a couple days ago and enjoyed it but didnt feel it was that great. Not because no gadgets or cool cars but it just felt very different. Listening to Weekend Confirmed podcast though someone said Craigs Bond in Skyfall was a mirror image of the Bond in the book.

I never had any problems with QoS, but it was a big step down from Casino Royale.

I just saw it, and I liked it. I had low expectations for it as Quatum of Solace was weak. Wish they didn't kill that hot girl so quickly...

Dont they always kill a hot girl. Javier was great in the movie, was very different feom every bond villain ive seen, well the most recent ones.
Dont know if this is spoiling lol but was he supposed to be gay or something. wonder what the tortuer he recieved was.

That scene is actually the best for me in the entire film.
Even after I left the theater, I praised that one with my buddies as being the one that stood out because it was just amazing and Javier was gold on that one.

Finally saw the film and LOVED it, proper Bond at it's best. The opening scene was great and the final scene in the chapel was awesome
I'm a huge fan of Craig's Bond, Skyfall might just be above Casino Royale for me although I did enjoyed QoS as well, not a traditional Bond but its a very good film.

I felt it tried too hard to be a masterpiece and failed by having too much action and not enough story. Something that wasn't an issue IMO with Casino Royale and Skyfall as there was balance in those two.
My gripes with it:
Quote:
1.) Dominic Greene is arguably the most generic main villain in the series.
2.) Quantum's plot to hold Bolivia's water supply for ransom was weak.
3.) I didn't mind the car chase, the foot chase, and the boat chase. But the plane chase...it was too much!
4.) Overuse of quick cuts.
5.) I like the theme song, but I disagreed with it being a duet. The song would've been a million times better had Alicia Keys performed it solo.
6.) The footage of Bond walking through the desert in badass fashion holding his UMP-9 wasn't in the film!
7.) And finally, the worst offender was the fate of Rene Mathis. Beyond stupid decision.

Basically, QOS was Craig's "Tomorrow Never Dies" so to speak. Not terrible, but not great either. It's just...there.

Dominic Greene was far less lame than Carver in Tomorrow Never Dies.
Speaking of which I finally found Goldeneye on Blu-Ray yesterday. I love black friday.
