I completely disagree and couldn't think of anything else to say. but I do seriously think Skyfall is the best bond of Craig so far, even over Casino Royale (which was fantastic). To each his own though, don't mean to come off as an ass.

Re: This November, Skyfall is coming.

I'm completely open to Skyfall getting better on a rewatch (which is almost certain to happen). I hated Quantum when I saw it first, but I like it a lot now. Skyfall, to me, felt like trope after trope after trope.

I'd comfortably put all 3 of them above most Bond movies though.

Re: This November, Skyfall is coming.

I enjoyed Skyfall the most out of the three Craig films. It wasn't groundbreaking cinema or anything, but it was a lot of fun and I marked for the nostalgic elements.

Enjoyed it more than TDKR.

Doesn't come anywhere close to TDKR for me.

Definitely not on the level of TDKR for me either. To be honest it probably won't make my top 10 films of the year by the end. That's not saying I didn't like it, there's just been some great films so far this year and there's more to come too.

I felt a lot more emotion in TDKR.

I like this scale quite a lot.

3rd time seeing skyfall. The only part I don't like is when you first meet Silva (the bad guy) for the first time, when Bond is tied to a chair. It's just kind of a slow scene to me.

tomorrow never dies -> almost gets his organs cut out of him in a tortuous way
world is not enough -> bond gets tied to a chair and tortured by Electra King.
Die another day -> bond gets captured by Koreans and tortured
Casino royale -> bond gets tied to a chair and slapped in the nads
quantum of solace ->ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Skyfall -> tied to a chair and groped

a bad pattern?

Re: This November, Skyfall is coming.

Silva's first scene was probably the standout scene in the movie IMO. Bardem is so freaking great as a creepy bad guy.

I'd let Sophie Marceau tie me to a chair and torture me by the way. She is an incredibly attractive woman.

Re: This November, Skyfall is coming.

Saw this yesterday when it ame out down here. Pretty awesome film, i liked it a lot. Agreed with McQueen on Silva's first scene. That was brilliant. Knowing that Judi Dench has problems with her eyes and isn't likely to be making films for too much longer foreshadowed the ending for me and the rise of the new M. I liked this film as it really sets up the next lot of Bond movies nicely. Casino Royale was a great reboot, a far more serious 'gritty' Bond as opposed to the ridiculous over-the-top nature of Die Another Day and now Skyfall has set it up for a more Bond films like the originals with M, Moneypenny, more 'Bond' moments.

I really wish that Silva could've survived as i reckon he could've been a good villain for at least 1 more movie. I love the whole rogue agent stuff in any movie and its always nice to get the sense that the villain is smarter than Bond and MI6. The Heineken product placement was hilarious, why the fuck did Tanner have/how did he get a beer while sitting in the middle of the MI6 building?

Craig definitely cememnting his place as 2nd best Bond after Connery with this one. I loved Casino Royale, i didn't like Quantum on first watch but i saw it on dvd recently and it was far better than i remembered and now Skyfall which i'd put about on par with Casino Royale.
