Re: This November, Skyfall is coming.
if he follows the other's streaks
Sean Connery --- 3rd was Gold Finger
Roger Moore ---- 3rd was The spy Who Loved Me
Pierce Bronsnan 3rd was The World is Not Enough
all 3 amazing bond movies (not each's best, except Goldfinger, but still great bonds). 3rd time is a charm. I wonder if they'll ever bring Q back in some sort of Fashion.

Re: This November, Skyfall is coming.
Q's supposedly back in this one being played by Ben Wishaw, who's a pretty damn good English actor, although a bit young for Q imo
I'm just hoping this is more of a "Bond" movie than the previous two, which, I know this is a fucking cliche thing to say now, didn't really have the feel of a Bond movie, I mean even at the series previous worst (Die Another Day) there was still a feeling that yes, this was a Bond movie, even if it is an awful one filled with CGI and Madonna (On mention of CGI, saw some idiot in a youtube comment trying to say The Spy Who Loved Me ski jump was done with green screen... baffles the mind).

Re: This November, Skyfall is coming.
spy who loved me was Moore's best by far and the world is not enough is not that good. Its alright but it could've been done so much better. anyway looking forward to this movie more than i have for any movie in a long time.
I loved the Casino Royale reboot. It retained the core element of the Bond character while grounding it back into a more realistic setting. Die Another Day started off epically and then after Korea it turned to absolute shit. Hoping this movie is more Casino Royale than Quantum.

I've said it before but if they had just removed Christmas Jones from World Is Not Enough and played up Bond's betrayal a bit more (Have some more of the cold Bond that shoots Elektra) with a few more M scenes it would have been a contender for best in the series.
Spy Who Loved Me... might be Moore's best for me, I always find his movies damn near impossible to rank, Live & Let Die might beat it slightly, very slightly, same for Octopussy, Man With The Golden Gun would be up there if not for some of the silliness and I actually like A View To A Kill (I know, I know). Moonraker wouldn't be anywhere near just thanks to that fucking centrifuge scene.
EDIT: As of regards Casino Royale being a more realistic setting... that's fine, but that's not Bond, the last "realistic" Bond was... From Russia With Love and that wasn't exactly fucking Dogme 95 realism, what with the Spectre Island and the speedboat Vs Helicopter thing, even the so called more realistic Dalton movies have stuff like escaping police cars on a Cello case and Licence To Kill's x-ray laser camera and shit.
I don't know, I just expect some escapism in my Bonds.

Re: This November, Skyfall is coming.
The trailer was great, I'm a huge Bond fan and think Craig does a great job, Loved Casino Royale and enjoyed Quantum as well and I'm sure this one will be great
The game also looks pretty decent and will definitely be something I get, I picked up the Goldeneye reboot not too long ago and had a hell of a lot of fun with it

Re: This November, Skyfall is coming.
Craig is seriously coming close with me to Connery as far as best Bonds go. I love the recklessness that he brings to the character. I wish they would actually start trying on the 2 film in each series. Solace wasn't bad, but felt rushed and underdeveloped. Same thing with Tomorrow Never Dies.
Couple Craig, with Mendes as director, Bardem as the villain and Fiennes in a role, and you have pretty much a guaranteed awesome flick.

Re: This November, Skyfall is coming.
Looks good. I didn't enjoy Quantum, but maybe I need to rewatch it, see how I feel. But this one looks really good. I still prefer Brosnan, but then those were entirely different styles of films too.
If anyone isn't an avid cracked.com reader, this article had an interesting theory on Bond stuff (as well as other things). http://www.cracked.com/article/18367...movies-better/

Re: This November, Skyfall is coming.
Quantum was good, but it felt really short to me. Like damn that's it? It's over?
Casino Royale is by far my favorite Bond film ever. A ton of emotion in that film. And as much as I like Brosnan and Connery, Craig is by far my favorite Bond ever too.
The new movies make Bond feel more real and human. With all the other ones it was always basically the same thing, a bunch of gadgets, a couple girls, and some shooting. I would like to see a few more gadgets in these movies, but with Q being introduced in this movie obviously there will be. I hope Craig continues to do these movies for a while. I hate when they change guys, even when it works out for the better like it did with Brosnan/Craig.
