I think I'm the only guy who liked Prometheus. Damn this love of science fiction. It blinded me to any faults in the story.

I've got Dark Knight Rises, Argo & Django Unchained at the head of the pack this year.

Proud supporter of PWG, probably the best wrestling company in the universe. Probably.

Watching Django tomorrow afternoon.. Hope it exceeds the hype... Really excited.

Also, Zero Dark Thirty comes out next month right? Critics who saw the screening can't get enough of it.

Dark Knight Rises is the FOTY for me. Seen it 6 times already and never gets old.

Re: FILM OF THE YEAR 2012

Must have been high to say Silver Linings Playbook was better than Django

1. Avengers
2. Hobbit
3. Django
4. Batman
5. Playbook

Revised list is much better.

He isn't the only one. I don't get the love for Tarantino. He takes so much from other filmmakers who are better than him, and I often feel that his movies lack soul or whatever. One of the most overrated directors in my opinion.

As for the best film I've seen in 2012, I'd say Paul Thomas Anderson's "The Master".

The Dark Knight Rises was a good film, but very flawed as well.

I guess we're willing to open up to the nature of the story and did choose to ignore some of the faults that were behind it. Even the "faults" that appeared were nothing major for me. I had a ton of fun watching it. It's why I rank it so highly. I'd own it.
