re: Breaking Bad Thread (NO SPOILERS OUTSIDE OF THIS THREAD. INCLUDING SIGS & CHATBOX.)
Great episode once again. Despite I expected Walt killing Mike at some point due to their alpha male rivalry, it is amazing how unnecessary the death ultimately was. I always expected Walt killing Mike during their fight for leadership.
I still believe, Walt shooting Mike out of emotion, has a lot to do with his increasing "Who does not support me, is against me" attitude. Which is really typical for a mob patriarch. Gus was no different. Mike just didn't realize the new packing order in terms of psychological profiles.
Now, Walt will definitely take care of the "9 whitnesses dilemma" some way or another. It shows how ruthless he has become. But I don't believe, that this will also affect the family (Walt Jr., Skyler, Hank, Marie). At least not directly. Walter... ehm... I mean Heisenberg has enough to do by "solving the old problems" so he can finally really build the drug empire he desperately wants.
