Re: Game of Thrones

Jaime is a big deal. He gets better. And by better I mean worse.

Emilia is a good looking gal for sure.

Solid start. Needs more Arya, but she was pretty minor to start out so it's understandable.

Re: Game of Thrones

Arya is the funny/interesting looking little girl right?

I'm conflicted now if I want to read the book or wait and see how the show unfolds. All I know is i'm likely done going out on Sundays for a little while.

Re: Game of Thrones

Read it after at this point I think. It'll keep you guessing that way.

Yeah Arya is Ned/Sean Bean's youngest daughter, the tom boy goofy girl. She owns.

Re: Game of Thrones

Ahh okay. Anyone know how many episodes will be in the season? 6, 10, 13?

Re: Game of Thrones

I don't. I'm assuming 12-13, so three months worth.

Re: Game of Thrones

I'm about to watch it right now, I've had my eye on the show for a little bit. I don't know jack shit about the books unfortunately, but I'm sure this thread is crawling with people who do, so how is it following the books so far? I know the author is working on the show so I assume they can't go TOO far with the liberties.

It's almost exactly the same with a few liberties taken. The book had a structure where every chapter was told from the perspective of a different person which obviously conflicts with a weekly TV show sometimes but most of it is still in.

Re: Game of Thrones

Pretty close so far Pyro. I'm sure it'll deviate here and there and leave stuff out here and ther, but that's to be expected.

And yeah the POV structure would be hard to do in film format. What they're doing is fine.
