The last season will probably be Dany walking into the whatever city opened up the gates for her and her freeing all the saves while they chant MOTHER to her.

They called him the Lion of Lannister to his face...

...and whispered "Kingslayer" behind his back

Yeah that's true. And a good point about them ending everything with the supernatural. I just hope they don't mess the Purple Wedding up. I actually enjoyed that and the aftermath of it more than the Red Wedding to be honest.

Re: SPOILER *all five books* THREAD FOR Game of Thrones (TV series discussion)

So it appears, Benioff and Weiss know something about The Others that has yet to be revealed to book readers. This was pointed out on the Winter Is Coming Website. They are making a purposeful arrangement of the dead bodies killed by The White Walkers.

From the Pilot Episode:

Forthcoming spoiler is Jon and the Wildlings will see a similar display in the 2nd/3rd episode of this season when they reach the Fist of the First Men.

Actual Game of Thrones Logos

No matter the logo, they have put a straight line through all of the letter "o", which is exactly how they are arranging the bodies on screen of those killed by the White Walkers. So, as the people at Winter is Coming have pointed out, 1 time is maybe a coincidence, but when it happens again and again up it means some sort of subliminal message.

Also, what I find most interesting is the line goes through the "o" on the Stark logo too.

So I would say I think I agree with those people, the TV guys know something about what that arrangement means that Martin hasn't written about yet.

Well, maybe? It appearing in the stark logo is surely just because they want to stylise all their "o's" similarly. The bodies thing is interesting, though. I don't think anything like that has ever appeared in the books, though? Like talking about the arrangement of bodies - and I'd imagine it might have so far if it was key?

I mean I guess it could be something they know or it could just as easily something they think looks cool.

Re: SPOILER *all five books* THREAD FOR Game of Thrones (TV series discussion)

I saw this idea a while ago on some forums as well. Someone picked up on it, I think last season. Never thought to much of it but I think because it's appearing again this season, I'd have to go with the on purpose and not because it looks good.

There really must be something to it if they keep doing it, especially now 3 years later from the pilot and initial logo for the show. Must be more than it just looks good.

I don't think it has appeared in the books at least yet. But it is true since they know the end perhaps they're giving us something Martin hasn't yet. I would agree it seems to be a purposeful message they're sending out.

As for it being in the Stark thing? I have no idea. Maybe I need to brush up on the White Walkers and Starks somehow having an ancient connection theories.

I know there is this entire website out there who has like 50 some odd essays dissecting the books and putting forward the hypothesis that the whole "Winter Is Coming" slogan is actually a warning that when the Starks are in trouble The White Walkers awake, going to the whole "There must always be a Stark in Winterfell" thing. So, I have no idea what any of it means.

What are all the last names for bastards throughout Westeros? I know there is Snow, Storm, and Sand but are there any others?

Flowers and Rivers I believe. I think I remember those being bastard names in the book anyway.

Re: SPOILER *all five books* THREAD FOR Game of Thrones (TV series discussion)

So who actually poisoned Joffery and how? I just read Sansa's first chapter in A Feast For Crows and there hasn't been any more mention of how it was done yet and in ASOS, Littlefinger hinted towards what happened but never really said what exactly happened if I remember right...? Littlefinger mentioned something about the Queen Of Thorns fixing Sansa's hair net, so were the rubies or diamonds or whatever in her hair net the poison and the Queen Of Thorns took one out and slipped it into Joffery's wine or something? That seems kinda odd to me because her granddaughter was drinking out of that same ridiculously large chalice as well. I may of missed something since when I read that certain chapter it was at the back end of one of my 8 hour binge reading sessions and I was quite tired.

And if it is revealed in the later chapters of Feast or the next book that it was somebody completely unexpected and I just haven't read that far yet, please don't spoil it for me and just tell me to keep reading.
