As long as we don't get detailed about the books like we did in the other thread I think they're worthy of mention. Everyone who enjoys reading should read them.

Yeah we need to keep the other thread active, for when Dance comes out and we want to discuss it. Beside, it would be a shame to leave that thread, its like 70 pages long and we only had a very small amount of members posting in it, pretty impressive.

Hopefully they can pull off Littlefinger, dude's easily one of the best and most important characters. Whats the actor who plays him like? Any idea on how well he'll portray him?

I don't think I've ever seen the guy playing Littlefinger before. He looks a lot like how I envisioned him though. That actually doesn't count for much. I'd rather have someone who looks nothing like how I think the character should look and but nails the part. For instance Jaime doesn't look anything like I imagined him, but if he can play the cocky SOB that Jaime is, that's all that matters.

Peter Dinklage looks nothing like how Tyrion should look (Tyrion is supposed to be ugly to the point of being hideous), but Dinklage owns as an actor.

Yeah that's how I feel with Robert. The guy who's playing Robert doesn't look anything like how I envisioned him. I envisioned him looking more like Henry VIII; more bulky and and much less porky, like Addy looks. However I wouldn't mind in the slightest if he plays the character well. Maybe its just me but I think they may portray Robert as the main source of comic relief in this film and portray him as a bit of a drunk buffoon. Fair enough he was a comedic drunk at times in the books but I have a feeling they might take all ferocity and seriousness away from the character and make him into a bit of a fool. I really hope that's not how it turns out though.

Littlefinger's nailed down for me. Carcetti (Aiden Gillen is the actor) from the Wire, done and done, impressive piece of casting I think.

Agreed. Its a very similar character, I expect him to own in the role.
