Re: Game of Thrones (TV series discussion)
People need to stop mentioning characters in future books. I don't know if you guys realize or not, but that is a spoiler because it lets us know that those characters are alive at a certain point which is kind of let down because we will know that they won't be dying any time soon.
"Do I have the consistent will to overcome this thing? Maybe I should break out the rocking chair and reminisce on the career that
was. Maybe this is how my book ends. Maybe Father Time has defeated me..
...Then again maybe not!
Stop feeling sorry for yourself, find the silver lining and get to work with the same belief, same drive and same conviction as ever. Thats 'mamba mentality' we don't quit, we don't cower, we don't run. We endure and conquer."

Reason: future books*
Yeah we all definitely need to be more careful. It's partly because such HUGE shit goes down that saying X is in book Y seems like nothing, but it really is. It's not intentional but we need to be more wary of it.
Re: SPOILER THREAD FOR Game of Thrones (TV series discussion)
So. Here's how I see stuff going down if we happen to get a few more seasons.
Book spoilers for major plot points in tags as to how I'd split it up.
Spoilers for all books.
Spoiler for :
ACOK has already gonna have more Jaime and Dany in it. They might introduce early Jaime chapters to ACOK. That works. In terms of chronology the three blows for Others at the first of first men could be a decent cliffhanger. Bran being alive works too. The only thing I worry about is the lack of RAMSAY casting but still.
Then Storm. PROBABLY needs 2 seasons?
You split it up.
Season 1 has a lot of preperation but there's enough going on with Arya/Beric Jon/Wildlings Dany/freeing the unsullied kings landing stuff with tyrion/sansa wedding. And then BAM you hit them with the fucking red wedding at the end.
best end to a season ever. Imagine that. It might depress viewers, I guess. You could maybe end with Joffrey dying if you want a happy ending to a season but that's lame.
Storm part 2 will be dull...no wait. SAY HER NAME SHE WAS ELIA OF DORNE PLZ. Dany taking mereen. Jon and the battle at the wall may have started, idr the timeline. Then you have his story conclude with stannis being there and jon being lord commander.
Arya ends the season by going across the narrow sea. Sansa does um, well whatever? Meets littlefinger and tyrion kills tywin.
Now. Feast and Dance should be merged chronologically.
So is there a lack of action in feast for a good season? Hmm, no. Kingsmoot. Doran Martell's fire and blood. Brienne being hung. Jaime burning the letter. Lysa being killed. End with Cersei's arrest. Have some of Dany's early story from dance, jon on the wall and sam sailing. Also some tyrion. Not sure where I'd end s5 in the book. Cersei's trial seems the best, since we get chapters from her in dance anyway. But yeah combine them both, and depending on if winds is released bring some of that forward. Imagine having the iron fleet looming over mereen at the end of s6? Would be kinda awesome tbh. Or Dany and the dragons finding the khalasaar and JON SNOW BEING KILLED.
Need to get a prick to play FAKE AEGON (best be real) too.
