Finished season 1 of Oz this afternoon and I thought it was fucking great. I'll spoiler this just in case.

Spoiler for :

Tobias Beecher's descent into insanity is awesome. I had been DYING for him to just haul off and crack Shillinger, but for him to do what he wound up doing was beyond anything I imagined.

"I shit all over a guy... that's not normal."

Just about every time he came on the screen in the season finale I burst out laughing. His reaction to the tear gas was incredible. Crazy motherfucker's running around with a stick the whole time, too.

So glad I've got the entire series here.

I've recently finished season 4 of Oz, and I gotta say, Beecher and Schillinger's ongoing hatred is still one of the best things about the show. Some of the new characters they keep introducing are great too, plus it's fun spotting the actors- Lord Jafar from Brand Nubian? The singer from Biohazard? Method Man?

Occasionally theres a minor storyline that's so ridiculous it nearly drags the rest down (don't want to spoil anything, but the experimental treatment? come on now). Luckily the vast majority of it is great, and the constant fear that one of your favourite characters can be brutally murdered at any time really keeps your interest.

Yeah the side plots can be awful.

ADIBISI and Ryan O Reilly are both amazing too, along with Schillinger and Beacher they're my favourites. Oh and Karim Said I guess.

I'd throw in Chris Keller, Chucky the Enforcer and Enrique Morales, too. Oh and Devlin, he's just a massive asshole the entire way through.

The cast overall is pretty great, most of the characters that aren't very good die pretty quickly.

Yeah, def agree with that. Adebisi as this crazy heroin-deprived lunatic at the end of season 1 was great. Also a fan of Said (fuckin' Avon Barksdale showing up was the bomb, too... even if it was for, like, a minute just so he could plant something in a washing machine).

Liked Jefferson Keane as well.
