Game of Thrones is only two episodes old and I love it.

I can see why you may be cautious of the setting and what not but if you like that even the slightest bit I think you'll enjoy the show.

I'm not a huge fan of the genre either but I like stuff like Lord of the Rings and I love this.

Re: General T.V./Series Discussion Thread

Season three of SOA was alright, but it's the worst season they've had. Season finale was awesome though.

Justifed was pretty great tonight. gonna suck when it's not on the air for a while.

These days I find beauty as depressing as years beyond my time.

Re: General T.V./Series Discussion Thread

I'm currently rewatching Battlestar Galactica (the '04 remake), massively overlooked show which I can understand since I was skeptical at first since it was on the Sci Fi channel but someone on here (Boss Holt I think) kept talking about how great it was so I checked it out and loved it.

Gaius Baltar owns pretty hard, such a turd.

Lol! A correction had to be pointed out

The previews I've watched already have me interested. Even though the setting isn't my forte, I'm all into interesting characters, battles and so forth. I'm not the biggest Lords fan but I appreciate how good they are. So many good shows out.

It's just set in a fantasy world. There isn't that much magical stuff really and it's handled really well in the books. It also has elements of horror now and then. It's gritty and realistic and often very brutal.

It's very character driven.

I shouldn't judge the book by the cover. Just by a quick view it didn't draw me in.. yet!

Re: General T.V./Series Discussion Thread

My final selling point. It's absolutely nothing like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter.

Yeah sorry for pointing that out. It just reminded me of a funny Tonya Harding quote.

I removed my correction.
