I know it has to be part of that. Or it personally doesn't garner appeal from some. It works for me and apparently you too. I'll continue to watch and enjoy. Fairies or not, it hooked me long ago back in season one.

Got redundant by how long it lasted. With the story basis being breaking out of a prison - and doing so to end season one - you weren't really left with much else to do other than fill the story with a bunch of other happenings that made it jumbled together.
It's not bad, per say. Only I was expecting it to be formatted kind of like a mini-series in a weird sort of way. Give fans a good dose and end it on a high note.

I like True Blood too. Obviously it's not close to stuff like Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, etc, but it doesn't really try to be. It knows it's full of shit and it revels in it.

I watched second episode of The Following. It wasn't really good but looks like it could have some potential. Joe and Carrol(?) the short haired girl were the best parts overall. That scene where bacon is exploring the Cult House creeped me right the fuck out.
