I've been rewatching season one of MadMen and i'm frankly shocked I didn't notice all hints towards Sal being a homosexual so early. Theres like 5 huge ones just in his first scene. Madmen is still the best written show on TV though.

Loved almost everything about it. Tom fucking Hardy delivered big time, the others were efficient. Score was awesome, too. Like above said, way too overlooked. I'm quite surprised that I never heard about it, thanks for recommending, Bubz.

Finished Season 3 of Boardwalk Empire today. Holy fuckballs what a season. One of my favourite seasons of any show.

Spoiler for THOUGHTS:

Whole second half of the season is just incredible. When you're not used to a show shocking you and then it hits you with so many shocks to the plot in so few episodes it hits really hard. Loved how they centred it more towards gang warfare this season than family focused. Nucky no longer being half a gangster made his character so much better and naturally the show got a whole lot more interesting for it. Harrow's a fucking beast and I loved his sub story with the chick and Tommy. The scene he shoots Rosetti's guys up in the whorehouse to rescue Tommy. Legit GOAT scene. Rosetti was totally doo lally and amazing. The scene where he steals that hat and walks down the beach overlooking his empire wearing the hat. Amazing. VAN ALDEN. Comedy gold. Stole the show in every scene he got. Whoever came up with George Mueller door to door iron seller deserves immortality along with the guy who came up with the scene where he loses it with the iron sellers and IRONS SOMEONE'S FACE. Fucking amazing character. If the next season goes where I see it going in Chicago with Capone and Van Alden gets more screen time in Chicago then holy fuck next season could be even better. Lack of Capone and Chalky was a shame but shit Capone bossed it in every scene he was in. Capone's line when he turns up in Atlantic City with Eli. Amazing. Really loved the episode with his deaf kid and the two of them breaking down as he's teaching him to fight. The he fucking sings his kid a song on a ukulele after literally beating a guy to death. Gillian's still disturbingly awesome and the episodes with "Jimmy" were awesome. Mickey Doyle. Hehe. "How the fuck are you still alive Mickey?". Even Eli's character was a ton more interesting this season. Did I mention Harrow and Van Alden being GOATs. Could do with less Margaret but even she was pretty great this season. Owen's death caught me so off guard and then they just kept hitting you with more plot turns after he turns up in a box and then they hit you with Nucky's realisation and the flashback. Share a thought for Katie seeing as nobody in Atlantic City did. Shame they killed Owen off because I was looking forward to Nucky finding out about him and Margaret and then two going against each other. At least it got traded for a fucking amazing death. What I'd give to play pool and drink milk with Rothstein. Suave motherfucker. Nucky setting him up was pretty boss and should be interesting to see it play out next season. Means was an awesome addition to the cast. Cracked me up when Nucky asked if he could pay the $5 fine with a 100. Hopefully they develop Meyer and Luciano's character's more next season. Didn't realise until just that the kid who shot up Taybor Heights was Bugsy. Love that scene even more now. Need more of Eddie getting bullied around next season but his episode was really great, especially Nucky finding out he had a wife and kids. Oh and BILLIE KENT. Broke my heart when her cute face got blown up. Awesome ending to an episode though. Amazing season.

BE was and is indeed incredible. Behind all this stuff you mention are the fucking out of the world amazing sets and wardrobe and music. Few shows have ever immersed me so completely in another era.

I didn't realize it was Bugsy either until later. It does make the scene even better. I'm assuming we'll get more Bugsy cameos going forward.

In fact, after Bugsy was introduced, I even thought...where the fuck is Bugsy Siegel, but Bugsy had already been introduced lol.

So yeah, I didn't think BE could get better after the Jimmy arc, but it's still just as great, and in many ways better.
