Are they promoting the show adequately now? I haven't seen any promos.

Yes agree with Mikey on Supernatural after the end of season two I didn't feel a need to carry on watching.

very sad to see 30 rock go, but it went out on a high note. it might not be what it was at it's peak, but it certainly hasn't fallen to the depths of the office.

Re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)
I hated the 30 Rock series finale, guess I just wasn't into it as much anymore.
Archer was hilarious tonight, even better than last weeks IMO.
I never watched all of Mad Men last season. I keep saying I will, but I think I might be done with that show.

I thought that was the perfect ending for 30 Rock, I'd also call it most likely the best final season of a comedy show ever, pretty much everyone got one big moment to shine and everything was wrapped up

Re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)
To a few people that have posted recently:
I watched the first couple of episodes of The Following, but I'm not going to watch anymore now.
And, yes, I did/am watching 'Derek', I'm a Gervais fan, and I watched the pilot in April of 2012, I really like the series so far, and I think it'll keep up it's standards, many good things about it, different, Karl Pilkington 'acting', really like himself except as a character, haha, and I'm going to get the series to 'keep', to always have.

Re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)
Just finished watching The Take. An epic British gangster story told over four episodes. Really quite brilliant stuff. It's totally gripping, tense, emotional, entertaining and harrowing. It's also a show full of absolutely incredible performances, literally everybody in it is insanely good, but this is Tom Hardy's show, and jesus is he amazing in this.
He plays the main character who's a disgusting, vile, crazy human being coming out of prison and getting back into the organized crime/gangster world that he was put in there for. He's a loose cannon, and I can't think of anybody else that could have played that role. Whenever he's on screen he has this aura of insanity, you're constantly watching him expecting him to snap at any minute, his eyes are glazed and he looks totally unstable all the time. Incredible performance, and to me this is proof that Hardy is not only the best British actor of his generation, but one of the best of his generation in the entire world. The man is an acting machine.
The female characters are brilliantly written (it's based on the book, so whether or not that was the shows doing or not I don't know), the actresses are so good at playing the women trapped in this awful world. There's always a sense of danger and suspense. It's full of tense and unpredictable moments, and I can safely say this is the best 4 part show I've ever seen, and definitely one of the best mini-series ever. Everyone should watch this severely overlooked stunning piece of television.

Re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)
Got 30 Rock on tap via DVR. I'll give it a whirl tonight. Should be grand.
Watched both new episodes of The Office. First wasn't very funny, then again, don't think it's main plot was intended to be. The tension with Pam and Jim continues to rise & it only leads you to assume that Pam will hook up with the boom mic fella. Why? I don't know. Can't say I'm into this plot at all. From a personal standpoint of course. It's not bad, haha. Lets break up the lovely heart and soul of the program. Not feeling it. Bad enough they turned Andy back into a bit of a twat this season. What was the point of all of the stuff trying to get Erin when we're supposed to end up rooting against him in favor for Jack the intern this season? Oh, while I went off on a questioning rant there, the second episode was pretty good. Much more along the lines of current Office type material. Interesting ending too. Season started out a lot funnier. I'm not surprised though. Still going to be glued to the show till the end as it is. I've gone 9 seasons deep. Have to see how it all ends.
Note to the writers: Give Erin more TV time again. Quit playing with my heart like this. She's the best.
