New season of Faceoff on SyFy Channel starts on Tuesday. I am pretty excited. One of the only shows that I still go out of my way to watch. It's an American edited show, so there's some nonsense & soap opera drama involved, no doubt, but I just like seeing the make-up designs and talent.

Considering all the great shows on TV now, I don't understand why Faceoff is one of the only ones you would go out of your way too watch.

I have to drop shows because there's so many good ones and I don't have time to watch them.

I started watching Face Off from season 1 a couple of days ago, I enjoy it, I've just started season 2.

I don't watch loads of TV shows, I'm a fan of a quite a few though, but some like Homeland and Breaking Bad are on their breaks just now too.

EDIT: Striker: I keep my favorite TV shows, to always have, so sometimes I decide to stop or not to watch a show, in terms of dropping, I think I'm about to drop/delete Modern Family probably.

My TV is pretty much only on when I'm watching sports, truth be told (including wrestling). I watch Faceoff because that profession is something that I am interested in & contemplated pursuing several years ago. I just like that whole behind-the-scenes movie world of make-up, costumes & special effects.

New Californication was what you'd expect by the series by now. When it was good, it was great but when it was bad, it was terrible.

Comedy was there, Hank being a loveable dick was there, Charlie being a sexually deprived animal was there. Drinks and drugs were there. It was a fine opener.

Yeah for the most part I really dug it. Hank as the depressed alcoholic being a cuntstain to anyone he comes in contact with never gets old. Bit where the bartender smashed his face into the table and he yells 'there goes your tip' made me laugh a lot. Agree with Ricky on Becca being a marked improvement. Said it before but I hated that phase where she became the cliche teen rebel, even if it was interesting to see some of the explosive scenes between her and Hank. Now that she's matured its become a much more infectious relationship between her and Hank and their scenes in this episode were probably the best of the episode. She's still got that wit and outlook on life that someone her age shouldn't have, but now she feels old enough to be able to truly talk Hank down in a way only Karen could previously.

Intervention going off the rails with Charlie and Marcy bickering and Becca commenting all the people there were retarded was really good and I like the hook with Hank going to rehab and having to overcome his self loathing and grief. HATED the Tim Minchin/Atticus bit, apart from his reaction to Hank puking on the piano. Pretty sure he's a recurring character and based off of first impression he came off more Samurai Apocalyse than Lew Ashby. Just no real subtlety to his character or charm and he comes off like a really bad cliche spoof character with the middle finger on the outside of his jet and getting a handjob under the sheets whilst having a conversation with two people he'd never met previously.

Becca being a writer could be interesting. Should give us more Hank/Becca scenes which is becoming a strong point of the show again and I like the potential story in her experiencing the troubled world of a writer and how Hank reacts. Hopefully Tyler fucks off for good.
